Chicago Bound

Thankfully tomorrow is the big girly trip.

Can I just express how excited I am? I feel like a girly trip is definitely needed for me. Shopping, food, and a fancy hotel. I'm definitely ready for a weekend to relax, have fun, and clear my mind. Not that this doesn't happen most weekends for me but you know, a change of scenery is always good. Plus, it will be nice to see my aunt & cousins (Bubbly B and Little Miss R).

I will miss Prince Patrick terribly though. Luckily I got to make a midweek visit to see him. This will have to suffice until after the weekend.

Hopefully next week I will have a more significant post. I apologize for my lack of purposeful posting. I just wanted to let everyone know that I am around and thinking of yall :)

The Missing Boot

There was a scare this morning... I thought one of my cowboy boots had gone missing! GASP! I let my older brother drive my car (long story but basically he "misplaced" his keys) and when I got my precious car back I could only find ONE of my cowboy boots.

Those who really know me know that cowboy boots complete me. Okay, that is a stretch but I just adore my boots. I feel so "at home" in them, if that makes any sense. They are my favorite pair of shoes and coming from a princess who has a shoe addiction this says a lot.

If you ever happen to catch a glimpse of Patriotic Princess strolling along the streets you will probably see me in pearls and cowboy boots.

By the way, my lost cowboy boot was hiding under a seat. I quickly grabbed them both and put them back inside where they would be safe. Next item gone missing while my brother had his adventure in my car: My new Coach jacket I got for Christmas. I can't seem to find a picture of it or a picture of me in it but basically it is pure cuteness in jacket form.

The Queen Takes the Cake!

This week went by quickly for me! This princess felt as if she was always on the GO, but sometimes that isn't always a bad thing. I feel like I got a lot of accomplished.

That being said, I'm definitely looking forward to a fun weekend filled with...BIRTHDAYS!

Prince Patrick's dad's 50th birthday is TODAY! So we are headed up to the "big city" for some high school basketball and hotel action. Admirable AG and I will be sharing a room so I've packed my party PJs.

Saturday is The Queen's birthday! The Queen being my fabulous mother of course. I'm looking forward to throwing on a cute party outfit and heading to a fancy dinner with some close friends. OH and I am definitely ready for birthday cake, the best part about birthdays!

Back to cute outfits. Any suggestions on what Patriotic Princess should wear? Keep in mind it is freezing and snowing but that doesn't have to ruin the fun.

Looking ahead to NEXT weekend: GiRLY TRiP! My mom and I are headed to Chicago with my aunt, Bubbly B, & Little Miss R for a girly trip. If you haven't been, girly trips are the best! Lots of laughs and fun times. Of course, Bubbly B and I try to be as GLAMOROUS as possible so I will update everyone with fun pictures.

Fun Awards :)

After a weekend filled with LOVE I was SO flattered to check my blog and find fun awards waiting for me! Of course, this Princess LOVES to spread the love so hopefully you will enjoy these fun awards as well.

The first award comes from Sweet, Sassy, Southern, and Classy. Is there a better combination than that? I think not. Anyways, I came across her blog one day and I just adore it! Yall definitely need to check her out if you haven't already.

The requirements for this award are to list six things you're a master at. Does the Admirable AG and Prince Patrick remember in Alabama when we had this conversation? I was pretty sure I was a master at nothing. But, I think I have found some things that I have "mastered" or have come close to.

One: I am a master at liquid eyeliner.
Two: I am a master at folding clothes. Sure, everyone can fold clothes BUT I do so with perfection.
Three: I am a master at encouraging. (I sometimes struggle with this when it comes to coaching because I would much rather tell my girls what they are doing right and not what they are doing wrong.)
Four: I am a master at blending in with little kids. Not because I'm small but because I find it so easy to hang out with little children. It is like we instantly become best friends.
Five: I am a master at being country but extremely girly at the same time. This is harder than you may think...
Six: I am a master at being very bubbly :)

Proverbs 31

I have recently grown to LOVE the Proverbs 31 wife. I would say that I always admired her but now I have a stronger appreciation towards her. I usually hear women talk about the Proverbs 31 lady as some sort of “wonder-woman” in which no mortal woman could ever achieve. I hear of people who envy her and of people who just don’t understand her. Though she is one of kind, I think with the right direction all women can be more like her in their daily life.

To me, she is the role model for how I ought to behave as a soon-to-be wife. It is often far too easy for women to fall into the trap of selfishness and idleness these days so we should always be careful to remember our duties. Usually, I always position myself as the “wife” role, but I think this verse can be applied to ANY role a woman plays. Sister, friend, wife, or daughter, we all have men in our life that we can bring joy to.

She has a lot on her plate (as do most of us) but she does everything imitating Christ and bringing her husband only good. Her motives are PURE and her conscious is clean. I once read that perfect confidence in a woman is the basis of all true affection for a man. I believe that to have some value.

Let it be warned however that I have a strong issue when “encouraging” a man becomes flirting. Let’s try not to cross this line at work ladies. (Coming from a Princess who knows a Prince who works with mainly women, I would hate for lines to be blurred.) It is easy to get carried away with encouraging, but when done the right way it can really bring ease and confidence to the men around you.

President Reagan & My Family's Cafe!

You may know that my family owns this really fantastic cafe. I must say it is awesome and you should definitely check it out.



You may not know that this weekend we will be celebrating the birthday of the greatest President of our time (Ronald Reagan, duh). The cafe will be offering specials on some of his favorites like meat loaf, chocolate chip cookies, and macaroni and cheese. We will feature split pea soup, and the color orange.

Jelly beans will definitely be present. The cafe always has Ronald Reagan merchandise and if you check out the Conservative Cafe website you will find additional specials and free gifts!!! Yeehaw!

Stop in and help us wish President Reagan a HAPPY 99th Birthday!

Also, my little cousin is turning 9. She was born on Ronald Reagan's birthday so naturally her name is Reagan. We can wish her a big Happy Birthday too :)
