As Prince Patrick and I pass out candy to cute little kiddos, I thought I would recap Game 6 of the World Series. Aka, the best game of my life. (Yes, I am SO freaking blessed to have gone to not one, but TWO World Series games to watch my favorite team!)
I really cannot describe Game 6. We can start by how most of the game I had a sour puss look on my face because the Cardinals were making dumb mistakes and loosing. I thought, like most of Americans, that it was over.
With 2 extra innings, 5 ties, and 6 lead changes...it turned in to one very thrilling game. I was texting my dad and brother throughout the game with one consistent message in return, "it's over." BUT, despite error filled innings, the Cardinals came back not once, but twice. And to finish it off for the victory, Freese hit a walk off home run.
I honestly can't explain how amazing it was! Prince Patrick and I were both screaming and crying and jumping and hugging random strangers. I literally ate my rally towel. It looks like a dog attacked it. But it was worth every single emotion. We had the best time! We didn't get home until 4:30 in the morning due to the extra innings + drive time, but the experience was amazing and our aderline was pumping all the way through Game 7!
Now the Cardinals are WORLD SERIES CHAMPS! In case you live in a bubble.
And despite the fact that I look like a hot mess, this will be our Christmas card:
And in case you are curious, we have had a million trick or treaters. I love living in a kid friendly neighborhood!
